Our principal nutritionist, Emily Dennis (EM), is passionate about using food as medicine; to prevent chronic disease and support a healthy lifestyle.

It is vital to have a nutritional plan that not only supports your daily activity and training, but also nourishes your body from the inside out. It will make your skin glow and provide you with phenomenal energy. It is just as important as committing to a regular exercise routine.

A Few Words On Why Making a Lifestyle Change is Better Than Dieting

Have you ever followed a calorie restricted diet, trained for hours at the gym to ‘burn’ off extra fat, only to end up feeling tired, hungry and deprived, thereby resorting to poor food choices?

Calorie restricted diets leave your body craving nutrient dense foods and trying to conserve all the energy you have.

It is so much better to eat a wide variety of colourful fruits and vegetables, fresh meats and healthy fats such as avocados, olive oil, coconut products and fish (of high quantity) and feel satisfied between meals. You will enjoy having steadier energy levels, excellent moods, glowing skin and a body that you can be proud of, knowing you are nourished from the inside out.

EM will show you how to not only fuel for your training sessions and everyday activities, but also how to maintain a strong, healthy, happy body.

“Failing to plan, is planning to fail!”

The BEST tool to help you succeed with healthy eating is a weekly meal planner. It is your “go to” when you have had a busy day. Without thinking, you know what you should be eating and drinking, and you know it is good for you.

Allocate a day each week to prepare meals that you can freeze for those really busy days. Two great examples are curries and meatballs.
